This is the first book in the Into Darkness series. This is a stalker dark romance about trauma nurse Aly Cappellucci and Josh Hammond who is a hacker and has a secret TikTok account where he does videos in a mask.

This story starts out with Aly working all the time and not able to spare any time for a relationship. She is obsessed with the Masked Man videos and develops a kink. When Aly starts to be in contact with the Masked Man, she doesn’t know if she should be scared or fulfill her fantasies.

Josh has a dark past. He turned to wearing a mask and making thirst traps for his followers. Josh notices a comment from Aly begging him to break into her house wearing a mask and decides to take her up on it.

I rated this book 3/5 stars. I really enjoyed this book and read it in about three days. The banter was giving me life. I thought this book is hilarious. I would say this is more of an intro into dark romance. This is not the darkest book I have ever read but it does have dark themes. This book also has some steamy scenes. I would continue with the series. I really liked the writing style and the characters. There was a little bit of plot and it all felt like the same things over and over. The book does pick up towards the last 100 pages.
