Twisted love by Ana Huang

Twisted Love by Ana Huang is the first book in the Twisted series. It is about a girl who falls in love with her brother’s best friend. This first installment centers in on Ava Chen and Alex Volkov.

Ava Chen is a girl who had a rough childhood. She has nightmares about it all the time and she cannot remember exactly what happens. She is going to discover her past and herself throughout the story.

Alex Volkov has a troubled past. He suffered a tragedy that has him on the past of vengeance for his family. He is going to find the answers to all his questions and more about what he wants for himself.

Ava and Alex’s story starts when her brother is going out of town for work and asks Alex to watch out for his sister. Alex decides to move into Josh’s house right nextdoor to Ava.

It just starts out with Ava just trying to go with her brothers wishes and become friends with Alex. It turns out they are actually attracted to each other but they have a lot of obstacles to go through before they allow themselves to be happy.

I thought this book was just ok. Everyone on the internet says that this is the worst book in the series. I rated this book 2/5 stars. I really did not like all the flash backs because it took up about 1/3 of the book and I was really struggling to get through them. I thought this book was more romance than drama. It did have some romance but not as much as I wanted or expected from a story marketed as a romance book.
