Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas is the second installment in the Throne of Glass series. It is the continuation of Celeana’s story.
I am going to try to not have any spoilers. This story was full of action, drama, betrayal and a little romance. When I thought I had a moment of piece it was all ripped away. Like an other Sarah J. Maas book the last 100 pages were insane.
I have to say I did see moments referenced from the Assassin’s Blade. That makes me grateful that I have read this novellas before the actual story because, in all honesty, it made me more emotional.
The big reveal was lackluster because I guessed it almost in the beginning of the book. I found it to be pretty obvious and that Celaena basically mentioned it in the beginning of the book. I think that if you weren’t really thinking. about it you would be surprised.
I did cry and get really stressed reading this story. I think that as the books go on it is going to get even more emotional and I’m going to learn more about what is going on.
I think that as the series continues it’s going to get more emotional and everything will finally make sense.
