Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas is the first book in the Throne of Glass series. This is set a year after the events of The Assassin’s Blade.

The synopsis states that Celeana Sardothien was in prison for a year and she is tasked with being apart of a contest to become the King’s Champion.

I rated this book 5/5 stars. This was the perfect start to the series. We are introduced to new characters and a new adventure. We get to know about what Celeana’s true purpose is and how she is going to go about it.

Honestly I was a little afraid to start this series because everyone has been saying that it is high fantasy. It is fantasy and it does include creatures, magic and a small romance aspect.

This series is kind of giving me a Mortal Instruments vibe and I have been obsessed with that series for a long time and I am still trying to finish that series.

Overall, I believe this is going to be a really good and emotional series considering I cried during the short stories. I am really getting attached to some of the characters.
